Trapezoidal sheet metal T18 – universal solution for facades and roofs

Trapezoidal sheet metal T18 is a profiled sheet metal made of high-quality steel sheet galvanized on both sides and protected by a polyester surface treatment, which ensures high resistance to corrosion and weathering.

Due to its versatility, trapezoidal sheet metal T18 is used primarily for facades, fences and ceilings, and can also be used as a roof covering. The 18 mm high profile offers a good ratio between strength, low weight and aesthetic appearance.

Use of trapezoidal sheet metal T18

Trapezoidal sheet metal T18 is widely used in private, commercial and industrial construction, especially for:

• facade cladding of buildings,
• roof coverings with a slope of 8° or more,
• fences and fencing,
• ceilings and suspended ceilings,
• economic and technical buildings,
• industrial and warehouse buildings.

Depending on the method of use, the sheet is produced in two variants:

• T18 P – with outward-facing grooves, intended for facades,
• T18 A – with inward-facing grooves, intended for roofs.

Production specifications

T18 trapezoidal sheet from the BILKA brand is produced in a nominal thickness of 0.4–0.7 mm according to the requirements of a specific construction.

Standard module lengths are from 0.5 m to 13.5 m. Non-standard lengths can be made to measure after prior consultation with a technical specialist.

Sheets are produced in nominal widths of 1000 mm and 1150 mm and are available in a wide range of colors.

Technical characteristics

T18 trapezoidal sheet is made of steel sheet galvanized on both sides, protected by a polyester surface treatment. The nominal material thickness is 0.4–0.7 mm.

The profile has a total width of 1150 mm and a useful (covering) width of 1100 mm, with a profile height of 18 mm.

The weight of the sheet metal, depending on the thickness, ranges between approximately 2 and 7 kg/m².

The minimum roof slope is:

• 8° if diagonal joints are not used,
• 14° if diagonal joints are part of the structure.

Warranty and service life

The following warranties apply to the T18 trapezoidal sheet metal depending on the type of surface treatment:

• 10 years for color stability and corrosion protection for a glossy surface,
• 15 years for a matte surface and wood decor (Wood),
• up to 30 years for the GrandeMat surface treatment.

The estimated service life of the covering is up to 60 years, and the material is designed to withstand significant temperature fluctuations and demanding climatic conditions.
