The client initially contacted us with a request to replace only the gutter system. However, after taking measurements and performing a detailed technical inspection, it became obvious that the existing roof was in very poor condition and required a complete reconstruction.
Although the façade renovation had already been completed and the client originally intended to keep the old roof, it was clear that replacing only the gutters would not solve the underlying issues. In situations like this, we always recommend completing the roof reconstruction before carrying out façade works. This helps avoid future complications and unnecessary additional costs.
Despite the more challenging working conditions, we successfully completed the project, and the final result was definitely worth it.
Scope of Roof Reconstruction
The reconstruction included:
- complete removal of the original ceramic roof covering, including waste disposal
- installation of a high-quality breathable roofing membrane
- installation of counter battens and new roof battens
- installation of a new BILKA Britanic metal roof in anthracite color
- installation of a complete gutter system
- installation of all necessary roofing accessories for a professional roof system
- chimney flashing
- installation of a lightning protection system
The new metal roof not only improved the building’s appearance but also increased durability, weather resistance, and long-term reliability with minimal maintenance requirements.
